BND type bearing housings were originally developed for belt conveyors. They have also been successfully used in processing engineering applications like heavy duty crushers, drives for sugar cane mills and rotor shafts for wind power stations.

BND housings are predominantly used on drive pulleys for belt conveyors. This design offers high operational reliability with little maintenance requirements which are essential features for conveyor applications. The BND type is designed to withstand heavy loads in vertical applications, but will also work well in other suited applications.

 

BND bearing housings are of a single piece construction (non-split bearing housing) suitable for spherical roller bearings of series 222. 230. 231 and 232 series.

 

The BND housings are designed for grease lubrication. Suitable grease nipples are provided.

 

BND housings are sealed by labyrinths. The labyrinth rings are fastened by a split tapered spring ring of laminated fabric material. Upon requirement, taconite seals can also be provided

 

Eye bolt:-An eye bolt is provided for easy handling of the housing.

 

BND housings can be supplied in following materials.

Cast steel

High Grade grey cast iron

Spheroidal graphite iron (Ductile Iron)

 

Note: it is important to specify the bearing housing requirement as-

(1) AL Housings for shaft end. with end cover, for non-locating bearing.

(2) AF Housings for shaft end. with an end cover, for a locating bearing.

(3) BL Housings for a through shaft, for non-locating bearing.

(4) BF Housings for a through shaft, for a locating bearing.
